Bühler Denmark A/S and Business Unit (BU) is an independent manufacturer and distributor of high-end baking machinery with 191 employees and a headquarters in Skovlunde/Copenhagen.

The Manufacturing Site in Rødkærsbro

The Manufacturing site (63 employees) specializes in producing advanced tunnel ovens, many of which are highly customized to meet each customer’s specific needs.
These ovens are complex systems incorporating many features, including gas and electric heating, metal detectors, cooling conveyors, and other specialized components. Many control points and integrations make each oven project challenging.

We are upgrading to SAP S/4HANA and streamlining our production processes. Multiple optimization projects are underway. As part of a larger international group, we are introducing several new systems to improve operations. We serve a global customer base and have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products.

The position

We are seeking a Production Coordinator who will work closely with the production team to ensure smooth processes from order to production. This role involves various tasks, and no day is the same; however, planning and managing schedules, coordinating resources, and supporting the production team until the final delivery of the tunnel oven are tasks. You are expected to be onsite in Rødkærsbro with flexible working hours.

The tunnel ovens are delivered worldwide, and you will work closely with the other engineers in the team, the project managers, and other departments. You will be part of our team in Rødkærsbro (Jutland), working closely together and handling the tasks of a typical machine-building production. We have high seniority and a strong sense of teamwork.

You will be reporting to the Teamleader of Planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate production schedules, materials, and resources with procurement, inventory, and production teams to ensure efficient operations and meet deadlines.
  • Work closely with production teams to adjust capacity, including workforce, machinery, and inventory.
  • Act as the link between procurement and production, providing an overview of production status.
  • Maintain GPDM and BOM, ensuring alignment with engineering changes and global standards.
  • Coordinate production schedules, oversee assembly, and manage project timelines.
  • Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to address issues and improve workflows.
  • Ensure quality checks throughout production and resolve issues proactively.
  • Work with logistics to ensure timely shipping and delivery to customers.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across production sites, quality control, and engineering teams to optimize workflows and share best practices.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate is interested in working in a more traditional machinery-building industry rather than mass production. You enjoy coordinating various tasks throughout the production process. You take the initiative to ensure that production runs smoothly by managing schedules and resources and addressing challenges before they arise. You enjoy working across teams, whether collaborating with procurement, quality control, or production, to ensure everything stays on track.

Experience in machinery or manufacturing coordination is valuable, but a proactive attitude, flexibility, and problem-solving ability are essential.

Candidate qualifications

  • A relevant background in production with a relevant education.
  • Capable of reading technical drawings.
  • Experience coordinating production activities, ideally in a machinery or manufacturing setting.
  • Good coordination skills to handle schedules and resources effectively, but with the flexibility to adjust plans as needed.
  • A problem-solving mindset to address production challenges in time and find solutions.
  • Some technical interest and understanding of production processes.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams, but with an independent drive to manage tasks proactively.
  • Adaptable and flexible, able to thrive in a changing environment.
  • Works independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good IT skills – Experience with SAP S/4 HANA is an advantage.
  • Can communicate in both spoken and written English.
  • Living in the central area of Jutland with valid work and resident permit.
