Bühler Denmark A/S is located in Copenhagen (Skovlunde) and has around 200 employees.
The service and sales for the Nordic countries (SAS Nordics) are part of Bühler Denmark A/S.
You will be reporting to the Head of Sales of the SAS Nordics.
The position
As the Customer Relationship Manager (Areas Sales Manager), you will serve as Bühler’s primary contact for the value nutrition industries in the Nordics, including animal nutrition, human nutrition, drying, and insect technology. Our role involves nurturing customer relationships and utilizing Bühler Group’s internal expertise to support you as the main point of contact for customers.
A substantial customer base presents strong opportunities to transition from primarily project-based sales to an increased focus on long-term service agreements and single machines, enabling Bühler to provide continuous value to customers. Through ongoing service and support, Bühler can drive sustained customer relationships and capture additional value.
Your travel will align with customer needs and specific projects, requiring flexibility as you navigate the extensive customer distribution across the Nordics.
When joining, you will complete a thorough onboarding process and travel with a Bühler colleague to meet key customers, build relationships, understand their operations, and identify collaboration opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all Bühler customers in the Nordics, focusing on support, service, and building long-term partnerships in the Value Nutrition industry.
- Manage business relationships with all Nordics for Value Nutrition customers, covering service, sales, and project business.
- Maintain daily contact with customers and an extensive external network, proactively advising, supporting, and expanding business.
- Conduct frequent customer visits and pursue opportunities to grow Bühler’s customer base, with extensive travel within assigned areas.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and colleagues to address customer needs, generate leads, cross-sell, and secure opportunities.
- Oversee sales planning and execution, including preparing and leading complex negotiations and managing tender processes.
- Fully update the CRM system and use it as a primary tool for sales planning and market management.
- Develop a yearly account plan that is aligned with budget requirements and coordinated with stakeholders.
The ideal candidate
Experience
- Background in operations, process engineering, technical support, services, or sales.
- Technical background to understand client processes, not only machines but overall transformation process and operations processes.
- Skilled in identifying and addressing customer needs, particularly extrusion, and presenting Bühler’s solutions with clear benefits and ROI.
- Customers and service-focused personality who enjoys meeting new people and to travel.
- Structured, organized and self-motivated.
- Organized, self-motivated, and service-oriented, with a talent for building relationships in multicultural teams.
- Knowledgeable in key business drivers, including Total Cost of Ownership, and able to effectively discuss value creation and Operational Risk Management (ORM) principles.
- Capable of identifying cross-selling opportunities and adept at promoting Bühler’s full range of services to enhance customer satisfaction and market impact.
Candidate qualifications
- Relevant educational background in engineering.
- Practical experience in operations, production, sales, or a service-oriented role.
- Strong technical understanding of production processes, with an ability to communicate effectively from CEO level to shop floor.
- Ability to learn new skills, processes, and technology quickly.
- Fluency in English and one or more Scandinavian languages (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian); German is a plus.
- Team-oriented, with strong networking skills to build effective internal and external relationships.
