Commercial Lead Nordics - Enosis

ENOSIS overview

ENOSIS is a French SME based in Toulouse, founded in 2014. The company develops and implements systems that recycle CO₂, prevent its emissions, and convert it into renewable gas (e-methane) through the methanation process. This gas can then be injected into existing gas networks as a substitute for fossil natural gas.

ENOSIS’ solutions enable the treatment of CO₂ and biogas from anaerobic digestion units and syngas derived from biomass pyrolysis, gasification, or recovered materials.

As an innovative company, ENOSIS designs and builds solutions that optimize waste-to-energy conversion and CO₂ recovery. The company actively contributes to energy transition and renewable energy development. ENOSIS integrates its biological methanation technology into methanation and pyrogasification plants to enhance the methane content of renewable gases.

Since 2018, ENOSIS and benefits from a strategic committee comprising institutional shareholders and industry experts, ensuring ongoing funding and strategic guidance.

ENOSIS technology

The biological methanation technology ENOSIS uses is an innovative, sustainable biotechnology that relies on various microorganisms (in mixed culture). This process was developed in collaboration with CNRS and INRAe laboratories and is patented.

ENOSIS is implementing its first full-scale industrial biological methanation unit (“first of the kind”), DENOBIO®, integrated into an agricultural anaerobic digestion plant, in the North of France.

The facility is designed to process 20 Nm³/h of CO2 or 50 Nm³/h of biogas under nominal operating conditions. The methane produced (e-methane) will be injected into the natural gas distribution network (operated by the French DSO GRDF).

The Danish Market

With the launch of its first industrial plant, DENOBIO, in northern France, Enosis is completing its industrialization phase, enabling the company to expand its operations not only in France but also in other European countries with favorable policies, such as Denmark.

Indeed, Denmark’s 100% green gas target by 2030 and its ambitious Power-to-X strategy create a strong demand for CO₂-to-methane solutions. The country is investing heavily in 4–6 GW of electrolysis capacity by 2030, ensuring a steady supply of renewable hydrogen essential for methanation.

With a rapidly growing biogas sector, CO₂ from anaerobic digestion is emerging as a key feedstock for producing renewable methane. ENOSIS aligns with this strategy by enabling biogas producers to convert CO₂ into additional methane, optimizing gas production without increasing feedstock use.

Denmark’s hydrogen infrastructure expansion, including on-site production and pipeline distribution, further strengthens the market for methanation.

ENOSIS is well-positioned to partner with biogas producers, energy companies, and PtX projects, leveraging regulatory support, financial incentives, and Denmark’s leadership in carbon neutrality to establish a strong presence. After initial discussions with Danish Power-to-X players, ENOSIS is convinced of the relevance of its solution and plans to invest in Denmark in e-methane projects through local partnerships.

We seek a Commercial Lead to join us on our exiting journey and drive ENOSIS’ entry to the Danish market.

  • Represent the company in negotiations, conferences, and industry events, building ENOSIS’s brand presence and expanding its network in Denmark.
  • Set up and scale the Danish office, including hiring and managing an initial local team, with input on office location (“Jutland/Trekantsområdet/Copenhagen”).

You possess:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or market expansion within renewable energy, carbon utilization, or related industries.
  • Strong industry network and knowledge of the Danish energy market, including biogas, Power-to-X.
  • Expertise in commercial strategy, including pricing, contracts, financial modelling (ROI, profitability), and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience structuring project companies (SPVs), preparing financial models, and identifying funding opportunities.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and relationship management skills, with the ability to navigate complex partnerships.
  • Understanding industrial risks, particularly those related to pressurized gases and chemical and biochemical processes.
  • Fluent in Danish and English; French is an advantage.
